Learn to make a quilted jacket using Grainline Studio's Tamarack Jacket pattern! The jacket can be made out of solid fabrics, or you can bring a quilt top or cutter quilt. Piecing is not included in this class, but very much encouraged! It'll be a great class for you if you have experience making garments or quilting, or have taken other classes with us. The class will include: - Day 1: Measurements, size adjustments, and cutting - Day 2: Machine quilting - Day 3: Assembling the jacket and inserting welt pockets - Day 4: Finishing edges with bias binding and closures (snaps, hook and eye, or buttons) The pattern comes in two size ranges (0 - 18 or 14 - 30). Before Class: - Stop by the store to select your pattern size and fabric in advance. - Pre-wash all fabric (including lining fabric) before the first class on September 5th. - Optional: If creating your own patchwork or upcycling, prepare enough yardage to be ready to cut out the jacket on day 1.
